How to get more views on TikTok
Every TikTok video gets a small test audience first. Here is what makes that group watch on, why views sit at 0 or stay low, and what to do after posting.
TikTok · Followers
TikTok does not rank videos by follower count, so a new account can grow fast. Here is what moves followers, the 1,000 and 10,000 milestones, and what fails.

You get more followers on TikTok by making videos that people finish, then giving them a reason to follow. That is the whole system. TikTok does not use your follower count to decide who sees a video (TikTok Help, How TikTok recommends content). A brand-new account has the same shot at the For You feed as a big one.
The two numbers to aim for are 1,000 and 10,000. At 1,000 followers you can go LIVE (TikTok Help, Going LIVE). At 10,000 followers, with 100,000 video views in the last 30 days, you can apply to the Creator Rewards Program (TikTok Creator Academy).
This guide covers what moves the count, the steps to each milestone, and what wastes your time.
The TikTok help page on recommendations lists three kinds of signal. The first is how people react to a video: likes, shares, comments, follows, watch time, and whether they finish it. The second is the video itself: captions, sounds, hashtags and effects. The third is account and device settings, which count for less.
Follower count is not on that list. TikTok says so on that page. This is why a video from an account with 40 followers can reach a lot of people.
So followers are a result, not an input. A video reaches people through the For You feed. Some of those people open your profile. If the profile tells them what they will get, some of them follow.
That gives you two jobs. Make videos that people finish and share. Then make the profile worth following.
| Milestone | What you need | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Go LIVE | 1,000 followers and the minimum age, which is 18 in most regions | TikTok Help, Going LIVE |
| Get gifts on LIVE | Be 18 or older | TikTok Help, Going LIVE |
| Creator Rewards Program | 10,000 followers, 100,000 video views in the last 30 days, age 18 or older, original videos over 60 seconds, a personal account in good standing, an eligible country | TikTok Creator Academy |
TikTok says the age rule for LIVE may vary by region (TikTok Help, Going LIVE). The eligible countries for Creator Rewards are the US, UK, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea and Brazil (TikTok Creator Academy). The 100,000 views are a rolling count, so the window moves every day.
Track your count with our free TikTok counter. It shows the live number for any public account and never asks you to log in.
These are the steps that TikTok’s own growth advice and the big marketing guides agree on. None of them are secrets. Most people just skip half of them.
Tip: put your best three videos in a Series or a Playlist. A new visitor who watches three videos in a row is far more likely to follow than one who watches one.
Once you pass 1,000, the goal shifts. Creator Rewards needs 10,000 followers, but it also needs 100,000 video views in a rolling 30 days and original videos over 60 seconds (TikTok Creator Academy). So start building toward all three at once.
Keep the short videos that bring people in. Add some longer originals, over 60 seconds, that hold people who already follow. Group them in Series so one visit turns into several views.
You can also go LIVE now. It is a format you could not use before 1,000, so try it and see if your audience shows up.
Views are the number to watch in this stage. Our guide on how to get more views on TikTok covers the test group and why some videos stall.
On timing, Sprout Social’s 2026 data says the best window is Tuesday through Thursday, 2 to 6 p.m., and the worst day is Sunday. Other studies find evenings and weekends do better. The data does not agree, so test your own account. Our guide on the best time to post on TikTok shows how to read your analytics.
Follow for follow. You get accounts that never watch. TikTok ranks on watch time and interaction, so those followers add nothing to your reach.
Hashtag spam. A caption full of #fyp and #viral does not tell TikTok what the video is about. One or two real keywords do more.
Changing topic every week. Each new topic resets who wants to follow you. The count stalls even when single videos do fine.
Deleting and reposting. A video that did poorly did not fail because of bad luck. Reposting the same file gives the same result.
Waiting for a big account to help. Follower count is not a ranking signal (TikTok Help). Nobody can hand you reach. The test group decides.
We sell TikTok followers, 100 for $3.95, so here is the plain truth about them.
What they do: make a new profile look established. A visitor who lands on a profile with 80 followers often bounces. The same visitor on a profile with 1,200 followers is more likely to stay and follow. Delivery is spread out so the growth looks natural, we never ask for a password, and there is a free refill if the count drops below what you paid for.
What they do not do: change how the For You feed ranks your videos. They do not count toward the 100,000 views that Creator Rewards needs, and they do not watch or share. Buying followers is legal, but it breaks TikTok’s terms. The usual response from the platform is removing the fake accounts, not banning the buyer.
If you want the head start, buy it once and then do the work in the list above. If you want the money from Creator Rewards, the views have to be real.
Watch out: never give your TikTok password to any seller or growth app. A real order needs only your public username.
Do that for two months. The account that comes out the other side has a clear topic, a habit, and a reason to follow. That is what 1,000 followers looks like from the inside.
Pick one topic and stay in it. Open every video with the result or the surprise in the first 2 to 3 seconds. Post several times a week at a pace you can keep. Put the words people search for in your caption. End each video with a reason to follow, and write a bio that says what you post. TikTok does not rank by follower count, so a new account can get there from one video that people finish and share.
We have not seen TikTok publish a flat rate per 1,000 views, so treat any exact figure with care. What TikTok does publish is who can earn. The Creator Rewards Program needs 10,000 followers, 100,000 video views in the last 30 days, original videos over 60 seconds, and an eligible country (TikTok Creator Academy). Bought views do not count toward that total.
The free route is the one in this guide: one topic, a fast hook, steady posting, keywords in captions, video replies to comments, and a reason to follow at the end. It costs time instead of money. Apps that promise free followers for a login are the one thing to avoid. They need your password, and that is how accounts get stolen.
There is no fast lane that TikTok offers. The feed ranks each video on how people react to it, not on who posted it. The fastest real path is a video that a lot of people finish and share, and a profile that turns those viewers into followers. Series, a clear bio, and a steady posting habit make that happen. Bought followers can make the profile look established but do not speed up reach.
You need 1,000 followers and you must meet the minimum age, which is 18 in most regions and may vary by region (TikTok Help, Going LIVE). To receive gifts on LIVE you must be 18 or older. Once you pass 1,000 followers you can start a LIVE from the app. Below that number the option is not available.
Yes. It is legal, but it breaks the TikTok terms of service. The usual response from TikTok is removing the fake accounts, not banning the buyer. Bought followers make a profile look established. They do not change how the For You feed ranks your videos, and they do not count toward Creator Rewards. Buy from a seller that never asks for a password and offers a refill.
